Octoparse is a client-side software written in .NET for extracting information from websites, for most of scraping tasks no coding needed. It allows people to collect data from websites and turn the data into visual files like Excel, HTML, TXT or databases [1]. Designed for web scraping, it also allows people to create an API with their cloud service and integrate Octoparse into your system, websites and Apps in real-time [2].
The company has offices in California and Shenzhen. It was founded by Keven Liu. The office in Shenzhen founded December 2012 [3]. It established the overseas branch Octopus Data Inc. in September 2015, and launched the first overseas edition Octoparse in March 2016 [4].
