"Often" is a song by Canadian singer The Weeknd. The track was released on July 31, 2014 as the first single from his second studio album, Beauty Behind the Madness (2015).[1][2] The song reached number 59 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 69 on the Canadian Hot 100. The song samples the song "Ben Sana Vurgunum" sung by the Turkish singer Nükhet Duru.[3]
Commercial performance
In the United States, "Often" reached number 59 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 69 on the Canadian Hot 100. In Norway, it reached number 12.
Critical reception
"Often" received critical acclaim. The song won two awards at the 2015 Much Music Video Awards, Video of the Year and Best Director.

The official remix features additional verses by Rick Ross and Schoolboy Q.
Music video
A music video for "Often" was released on 21 August 2014. It is his fourth most watched video, following "The Hills", "Can't Feel My Face", and "Earned It", respectively.
