Onicha Igboeze is a community in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Nigeria. It has an area of 476 km² and has a population of 236,828 according to the 2006 census. The postal code of the area is 491.[1] Its headquarters are in the town of Isu. However, there are a number of towns and villages in the Northeastern part of Nigeria that go by that name "ISU". But this ISU, originally made up of Agbabor, Amanator, Isu Achara, Mgbaneze, Ezekporoke, Anike,Mgbana Ukwu, Obeagu, Umuniko among others was in Ohaozara Local Government Area Council until the creation of Onicha Area Council.
Despite their original names being identical, Onicha should not be confused with the major city of Onitsha located to its west in Nigeria.
