Operation Goshen

Operation Goshen began in 1948, and continued until 1953, conducted by the Mossad Le'aliyah Bet due to increasingly antisemitism in Egypt and a sense of uncertainty among the Jews in Egypt. The operation succeeded in smuggling more than 10,000 Jews into Israel.

Many similar operations were conducted in various countries by the Mossad Le'aliyah Bet in the wake of Israeli independence in 1948.
