The film released on 5 January, and was the first Malayalam release of the year. It received largely positive reviews from the audiences and critics alike.

Plot

Orkut Oru Ormakoot is the story about the friendship between four boys who live together in a posh apartment. They have absolutely no values and morals and believe in having nothing but fun but their lives take a U turn when they befriend Crystal (Rima Kallingal), a Malayali girl living in Germany, through Orkut. Crystal coming to India to meet the four friends forms the rest of the story.

Reception

The film opened to positive reviews. Oneindia.in said, "Orkut Oru Ormakoot is a must watch this year as it has some of the best performances by some absolute newcomers." "It is amazing to see how a film as modest as Orkut Oru Ormakoot could work so well minus superstars like Mammootty and Mohanlal. The main plus point of Orkut Oru Ormakoot is the solid script."[5]
