P. Duraipandi
Dr.P. Duraipandi was an Indian politician and former Member of the Legislative Assembly of Tamil Nadu. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as a Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate from Manamadurai constituency in 1989 election.he is at present in thiruppuvanam sivagangai district,born in a poor family to a railman mr. periyampillai and his mother a house wife mrs rakku in a village mazhavarayanendhal in sivagangai district ,he did his schooling in government school and between all the trouble and caste differences in the society he hailed as a successful doctor from thanjavur medical college, and emerged a successful politician in manamadurai constituency,he was the FIRST to establish bus service to his village mazhavarayenthal. he was the only DMK candidate to win in manamadurai elections since 1989,till date.He is married to Dr.A.Manonmani,who was the chairman of tiruppuvanam panchayath,Dr.P.Duraipandian is always known for his simplicity , dedication and honesty in his professional and political career.
