A POL valve is a gas connection fitting used on LPG cylinders.

The oldest standard for such connections, it is still the most common such fitting in some countries such as Australia[1] but obsolete and even illegal in others such as the United States.

It was developed by the Prest-O-Lite company, hence the name, and uses a left-handed thread.[1]
