Pacific Rim Winemakers

Pacific Rim Winemakers is a Washington winery owned by the Mariani Family (who are also owners of Castello Banfi in Tuscany and Long Island, NY-based import firm Banfi Vintners)[1] and originally founded by Randall Grahm (also owner of Bonny Doon Vineyard in California) in 1992.[2] Pacific Rim's winery is located in West Richland (Tri Cities area in Eastern Washington) and is the United States' only large winery devoted almost exclusively to Riesling.[1] The wines are currently produced (and have been, since the 2006 vintage[1]) by general manager and head winemaker Nicolas Quillé.[3] Pacific Rim produces principally Riesling from Dry to dessert style (eleven Riesling in total including several single vineyard sites in the Columbia Valley) and also small amounts of Gewurztraminer, Gruner Veltliner, and Chenin blanc.[1][4][5]

Pacific Rim's team has also written an extensive book about Riesling published under the name "Riesling Rules" and available on their website.[6]
