Padai Veeran (English: Team Player) is an upcoming Indian Tamil drama film, written and directed by Dhana. The film features Vijay Yesudas and Bharathiraja in the lead roles, with his son Manoj Bharathiraja in a supporting role. Featuring music composed by Ajaneesh Loknath, Padai Veeran will have a theatrical release in 2016.[1]

In May 2016, Dhana, an erstwhile assistant of Mani Ratnam announced that he would make his directorial debut with a film starring Vijay Yesudas and Bharathiraja in the lead roles.[2] Bharathiraja agreed to work on the film, alongside his commitments for Kutra Parambirai, but later delayed the other venture.[3] The film began filming in Theni later that month.[4]
