The University of Palangka Raya (Indonesian: Universitas Palangka Raya, abbreviated as UPR), was established in November 10, 1963. It is the first and the oldest state university in Central Kalimantan. UPR consists of seven faculties, most of them located at the main campus building, Kampus Tunjung Nyaho,: Teaching and Education Science, Economics, Agriculture, Engineering, Law, Social and Political Science, and Medicine. Currently, the university rector is Prof. Dr. Ferdinand, M.S.
