Park Michigan was a proposed 80 story skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois designed by Pappageorge/Haymes, Ltd.[1] Its location is a street level parking lot at the northeast corner of Wabash Avenue and 9th Street. As part of the planned project, the former YWCA located at 830 South Michigan Avenue, also the official address of Park Michigan, would be gutted and turned into a restaurant.
On February 15, 2008, a foreclosure lawsuit was filed by Hermes Capital LLC after a loan default in December 2007 by Developer Renaissant Development Group. Hermes is run by Demetris Giannoulias (brother of Alexi Giannoulias).[2]
