Paul Burbridge

John Paul Burbridge^[1] was the Dean of Norwich^[2] in the last quarter of the 20th century. Born on 21 May 1932 he was educated at The King's School, Canterbury and King's College, Cambridge.^[3] and New College, Oxford. After National Service with the Royal Artillery he was ordained in 1959 and began his ministry as a curate at Eastbourne Parish Church.^[4] Following this he was Precentor at York Minster^[5] and then a canon residentiary there.^[6] In 1976 he was appointed Archdeacon of Richmond, a post he held until becoming the Dean of Norwich.
