Perkun (company)
Perkun (officially "Towarzystwo Fabryki Motorów PERKUN S.A." - Motorcycle Factory Company PERKUN Co. Ltd.) was a Polish automotive company and arms producer. The Warsaw-based company was started in 1904 and ran a large factory at Grochowska Street. Best known for the Perkun 98 and Perkun 125 range of motorcycles, Perkun also produced gasoline and diesel combustion engines for agricultural machines and riverine transport. Perkun was also an arms contractor for the Polish Army, producing, among other types of weaponry, the Mark 1924 rifle bayonette, Perkun wz. 24 flare gun and the Granatnik wz. 36 grenade launcher.
