Peta Louise Todd (PEE-ta; born 8 December 1986)[2] is a former English glamour model and Page 3 girl.

Modelling career

Todd first appeared on The Sun's Page 3 when she was 18 years-old.[3] She took time out of her modelling career in 2006 to have her son Finnbar,[4] but she returned to Page 3 soon after.[5]

In 2010, Todd appeared as one of the Power Girls in the first Power Snooker tournament.[6]

Since 2005, Todd has modelled regularly for Body in Mind, including during her first pregnancy.[7]

Charity work

In 2008, she cycled 400 miles (640 km) in five days, raising more than £3,000 through sponsorship and a further £4,000 by auctioning her bicycle and cycling shorts on the last day of her ride, for the Help for Heroes charity.[8] Todd has also travelled to Afghanistan to boost the morale of the British troops stationed there.[3] She is the charity's official pin-up and patron, and she has completed many challenges for Help For Heroes, including skydives, wingwalks, and bobsleighing, and she completed the 2010 London Marathon in aid of the charity.[8] In 2010, Todd received an award for outstanding contribution to the charity, which included a personal meeting with Prince William.[9]

In 2009, Todd climbed Mount Kilimanjaro along with injured servicemen and women to raise funds for Help For Heroes.[10]

Media work

Todd appeared on the BBC programme Newsnight in 2010 to discuss the merits of 40 years of Page 3. She has taken part in debates at the Oxford Union and at several other universities, including Durham.[10]

Todd has been a regular radio show contributor, co-hosting the Absolution with Tim Shaw show on Absolute Radio[11] and talkSport's The Sports Bar. She has also appeared on BBC Radio 5 Live to discuss whether the 40th anniversary of Page Three should be celebrated.[12]

She appeared on the Star in a Reasonably Priced Car segment of Top Gear in 2010, driving a Kia Cee'd. Her name was written on the scoreboard as "Peta 23 from Essex".[13]

Personal life

She is married[1] to Manx cyclist Mark Cavendish, having met him in November 2010.[3][14][15]

On 22 October 2011, the couple announced Todd's pregnancy via the media,[16] and, on 3 April 2012, Cavendish announced the birth of their daughter.

On 18 November 2012, Cavendish proposed to Todd, two years to the day after they met on the Santa Monica Pier in Los Angeles,[17] and they married on 5 October 2013 in London.[1]

On 24 April 2015, Todd announced over Instagram that she and Cavendish were expecting a second child.[18] Todd gave birth to their son Frey David on Monday 17 Aug 2015.[19]
