Peter Mark Brant Jr. (born December 30, 1993)[1] is an American socialite and model.

Biography

Raised in Greenwich, Connecticut, Brant is the son of billionaire businessman and art collector Peter M. Brant and model Stephanie Seymour.

William Van Meter called Peter and his brother Harry in the New York Times, "The New Princes of the City."[2] Vanity Fair has referred to Peter and his brother as the "dandy teenage boulevardiers of New York society".[3]

In 2014, Brant was quoted in a Harper's Bazaar profile of him, his brother Harry and mother, Stephanie, about enjoying his clan's notoriety, "We had to do a report about our parents: where they were born, what they did, and all that. Everyone else had to do theirs as homework, but I finished mine before class ended using Wikipedia."[4]

Brant has a reputation for his dapper attire, louche demeanor and well-heeled entourages.[5]

Brant is a student at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.[6]

In 2015 Peter along with his younger brother Harry, in collaboration with Mac Cosmetics, launched a unisex cosmetics line aimed at the Gender fluid youth movement.[7][8][9]

Personal life and controversies

At times, controversy has swirled around the young man, such as when he was caught on camera frolicking with his mother on a beach in St Barths.[10] Brant explained it was an intimacy possible because of the fact that he was openly gay (though sometime later he was seen passionately kissing a girl).[11][12]/[13] He has recently been rumored to be romantically linked to Princess Maria-Olympia of Greece.[14]

On March 24, 2016 Brant was not allowed to board a JetBlue flight bound for West Palm Beach for a spring break vacation for being too drunk. Brant fought with a Port Authority Police officer and was arrested.[15] He was later released on $5,000 bail. Brant Jr's attorney Phillip Russell told the New York Post's Page 6 of his client after the incident that "He's an idiot".[16]
