Peter J. Conradi

Not to be confused with Peter Conradi, another author and foreign editor of The Sunday Times. For other people with similar names, see Peter Conrad (disambiguation).

Peter J. Conradi FRSL (born 8 May 1945[1]) is a British author and academic.

He was educated at the University of East Anglia (BA, 1967), the University of Sussex (MA, 1969) and University College London (PhD, 1983).

Career

Conradi is known as a biographer, having written Iris Murdoch: A Life, an official biography of his friend Iris Murdoch, and A Very English Hero: The Making of Frank Thompson.[2][3] He is English Professor Emeritus at Kingston University.[4]

Conradi also wrote the book, Going Buddhist: Panic and Emptiness, the Buddha and Me. He is a student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, and follows the Shambhala Buddhist lineage.
