Pradeep Tamta (born 16 June 1958) is an Indian politician of Indian National Congress (INC) from Uttarakhand state. He was a member of the Indian Parliament, and represented Almora (Lok Sabha constituency) in the 15th Lok Sabha.[2] But he lost to Ajay Tamta in Election 2014. He also remained member of Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly (2002-2007).[2][3]

Born in village Lob, Bageshwar district in Uttarakhand state, he went on receive degrees in M.A, LL.B and B.Ed. at Kumaon University, Nainital.[2]
