Prateeksha (English: Waiting) is a 1993 Bollywood Action film Produced by S. Ramanathan on Raam Raj Kala Mandhir banner and directed by Lawrence D'Souza. It stars Jeetendra, Moushumi Chatterjee, Govinda and Shilpa Shirodkar in pivotal roles and music composed by Rajesh Roshan.[1][2]
Plot
A story of a lovely married couple Vijay Kumar & Laxmi (Jeetendra & Moushmi Chatterjee) who performs musical shows together with his friend Tom Dacosta (Vinod Mehra) and their son Raja (Master Bunty) as their means of living. Dinesh Khanna (Danny Denzongpa), Laxmi was his heart-breaker during her college days, who never quite got over her rejecting him, once to bring down when Vijay Kumar performing a show at London and takes the revenge by coming home and try to rape Laxmi in his absence. But unfortunately, Vijay gets back home due to the late flight along with Tom and while protecting his wife he gets murdered by Dinesh and Tom is crippled. The blame was put on Laxmi and she has been life sentenced. Raja (Govinda) grows up pretty much without both parents; doing various street shows as his earning. Meeting Renu (Shilpa Shirodkar) leads to mutual love. Meanwhile, Laxmi is realized from jail. Remaining story is finding out his journey of meeting his love, career peak and Dinesh, the villain with whom he takes revenge.
