Purgatory is the name of a DC Comics supervillain.
History
Paul Christian is a man who lost his legs in a subway accident. Years later, he was almost injured during a battle involving the Green Lantern Kyle Rayner. To make amends, Kyle used his Power Ring to give Paul new legs.[1] Following another accident, it affected Paul's willpower causing him to lose his legs.[2]
During the Underworld Unleashed storyline, Paul was desperate to get his legs back. He accepted Neron's offer to regain his legs and had his powers augmented. As the green flame-emitting Purgatory, he was sent to attack Green Lantern. After failing twice, Purgatory joins Neron's minions in Hell.[3]
Powers and abilities
Neron gave Paul Christian the ability to emit green flame as an attack.
