The spot-necked bulbul (Pycnonotus tympanistrigus) is a species of songbird in the Pycnonotidae family. It is found in Sumatra. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
