Q Link Wireless is a United States-based wireless telecommunications provider for federal Lifeline Program eligible American consumers.
Provided Service
Q Link Wireless provides a free cell phone with a certain amount of allotted airtime each month for low-income-eligible individuals who do not already have a Lifeline account. The Lifeline service is funded through the Universal Service Fund, but is only available in some states.[1] Applications for service can be made through the Q Link Wireless homepage, by telephone, or by mailing or faxing the application form. Customers may purchase more minutes once their free monthly benefit is exhausted.[2]
Eligibility Requirements
Q Link Wireless offers a free cell phone with free or discounted minutes to eligible Americans who are currently enrolled in a government benefit program or meet certain low income requirements for their state. Government benefit programs that meet qualifications vary by state, but commonly include Food Stamps (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income.
