The Qingshan Formation (simplified Chinese: 青山组; traditional Chinese: 青山組; pinyin: Qīngshān Zǔ) is a geological formation in Shandong, China, whose strata date back to the Early Cretaceous. Dinosaur remains are among the fossils that have been recovered from the formation.[1]
Vertebrate paleofauna
- Indeterminate sauropod remains[1]
- Psittacosaurus sinensis[1] - "More than [twenty] individuals,[five] complete skulls, [three] articulated skeletons."[2]
- Psittacosaurus youngi[1] "Partial skeleton with skull."[2]
- Possible indeterminate dsungaripterid pterosaur remains[3]
