Quantum Energy Partners is a Houston, Texas-based private equity and venture capital firm focused on oil and natural gas.
History
The company was co-founded by S. Wil VanLoh, Jr. and Toby Neugebauer in 1998.[1] It is headquartered in Houston, with offices in Lubbock, Texas and Albany, Texas.[1]
By December 2007, alongside the Carlyle Group, Lime Rock Partners and Riverstone Holdings, Quantum Energy Partners had invested US$460 million among themselves in Vantage Energy, a natural gas exploration company.[2]
From August 2011 to October 2013, the company invested in Jack D. Hightower's Bluestem Energy Holdings.[3]
The company was a founding investor in Linn Energy, an oil and natural gas corporation.[4] In March 2015, it invested another US$1 billion in the corporation.[4]
