R.E.D is the second studio album by Nigerian singer-songwriter Tiwa Savage. It was released by Mavin Records on 19 December 2015, and features guest appearances from Don Jazzy, Olamide, Dr SID, Iceberg Slim, 2face Idibia, D'Prince, Busy Signal and Reekado Banks. The album was predominantly produced by Don Jazzy, with additional work from Baby Fresh, Altims, Spellz and P2J. "My Darlin'" and "African Waist" were released as two singles from the album; the former was released on 8 October 2014, while the latter was released on 21 December 2015.

Background and promotion

R.E.D is an acronym for Romance, Expression and Dance. The album was made available for free digital streaming on MTN Music. Within 24 hours of its release, the album became the most streamed album of all time on the music platform.^[2] To promote the album, Mavin Records launched a meme generator through the website i-am-red.com. The website's interface allows users to create a meme by uploading their pictures, and entering their values for the R. E. D. acronym. Users have the option to enter text in the fields, or choose predefined suggestions from the drop-down menus. Users were then encouraged to share their images on social media sites with the hashtag #IamRED.^[3]
