The Radiation Effects Research Foundation (RERF) is the successor of the Atomic Bomb Casualty Commission. It was established 1 April 1975.
It is a binational organisation run by both the United States and Japan. The chairman is Toshiteru Okubo.[1] The RERF Hiroshima Laboratory is situated in Hijiyama Park, Hiroshima. The organisation aims to study the long-term effects of radiation exposure on human health and its interactions with genes, lifestyle, and environment.[2]
