Rana Assad Amin

Rana Assad Amin took the oath of Auditor-General of Pakistan in June 2015, after serving for more than eight years in various positions including accounting, auditing and public financial management. Rana Assad Amin has a vast experience gathered over a span of more than thirty five years in public service at key Government of Pakistan posts. He holds Master’s degree in Project Management from Malardalens University, Sweden and MBA from Bradford University, United Kingdom. In addition, he also posses degrees in LLB (Law) and M.A. Political Science from Punjab University.

He brings with him a rich professional and academic experience and represented Pakistan at various national and international fora including Corporate Governance, Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Terrorist Financing etc. He has also been on boards of various Public Sector Organizations.

Rana Assad Amin has been associated with budget preparation and execution in Finance Division, Government of Pakistan and has contributed in financial policy formulation of Pakistan, at the highest level. His last assignment was Advisor to the Finance Minister. He is married to Anjum Assad Amin daughter of late Dr Munawar Hussain Sindhu former Head of Mathematics Department GC University Lahore.
