Randa Williams (née Duncan), is a billionaire heir to the Duncan family fortune (through the Enterprise Products, which remains under family control).
Biography
Randa Duncan was born in 1962. Her father, Dan Duncan, was the co-founder of Enterprise Products.[2] Her mother was Lee Ellis.
She holds a JD from the University of Houston Law Center and an undergraduate degree from Rice University.[3]
Career
After school she practiced law with Butler & Binion and Brown, Sims, Wise & White. Williams served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Enterprise Products Company and Group Executive Vice President at Enterprise Products Company from 1994 to February 2001.
She inherited $3.1B upon the death of her father.[4] Due to a temporary repeal in the estate tax law for the year 2010, Duncan became the first American billionaire to pay no estate tax since its enactment.[5]
Philanthropy
Williams is a member of the Board of Trustees for the Houston Zoo, served as Member of the Board of Trustees for the Houston Museum of Natural Science since 1995 and also presently serves as its Chairman, served on the trustee boards for the Manned Space Flight Education Foundation, River Oaks Baptist School and the Houston A+ Challenge.[1]
In 2013, Williams was elected as Enterprise Production Partners' non-executive chairman.[6]
Personal life
She lives in Houston with her husband; they have one child.[1]
