Ravi Paturi is an academician from India. As a principal of Aurora Degree College and Business School, he has contributed to the fields of Scientific Research and literature.[1]

Life

He was the last son of Pathuri Sitaramanjaneyulu, a famous Sanskrit scholar from Adoni.[2][3] He received doctorate from Osmania University. He joined Aurora's Degree College as the Principal in 1999 and continued in the post till his death. During this tenure, he held good ties with premier institutes in India such as Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Indian Institute of Science, Indian Academy of Sciences, University of Hyderabad and helped in propagation of sciences in Hyderabad.[4][5]

Death

On September 5, 2012, he has given an interview to a local television channel.[6] He went missing on the following day. On September 8, three days after India's Teachers' Day the body of Dr Ravi Paturi was found in Hussain Sagar lake in suspicious conditions. Though it was thought that the cause of death is suicide, there were doubts surrounding this.[7][8]
