Realists (Czech: Realisté) is a conservative party based in the Czech Republic. It was founded by Petr Robejšek in November 2016.[3] Other members include Pavel Kohout, Antonín Fryč or Jiří Horecký. Robejšek aims to succeed in 2017 legislative election.[4] The party declares to defend Czech national interests and to govern by Pareto principle.[5]

History

The party was established on 24 November 2016. Petr Robejšek called his title "mentor" because the new leader will be ellected in 2016. Realists affirmed against ANO 2011 which they called a left leaning party.[6] The fundation of Realists was a reaction on Brexit and victory of Donald Trump in United States presidential election, 2016. The party is ideologically close to Civic Democratic Party and Dawn - National Coalition.[7]
