Red Sea University (also known as Jameat Al Bahar Al Ahmar) is located in the city of Port Sudan, in the state of The Red Sea in eastern Sudan. It was established in 1994.[2] It is a member of the Federation of the Universities of the Islamic World.[3]

There were 8 faculties in this university: Marine Science & fisheries, Engineering, Economic school, Education, Medicine, Science and Earth Science.[4]
