Rettai Vaal Kuruvi (English: Two-tailed Sparrow) is a 1987 Indian Tamil language film starring Mohan, Raadhika Sarathkumar and Archana. This film was a remake of 1984 Hollywood film Micki and Maude.

Plot

Gopi (Mohan) works in a TV station under V K Ramasamy. His wife is Tulasi(Archana) whom he knew since their early days. He meets Radhika, a singer. Love develops between them into marriage.

Gopi juggles between his two wives leading to a hilarious climax in the hospital where both wives are admitted for delivery. Finally all ends well.

The film was a moderate success and Balu Mahendra's comic sense surprised everyone because he was known for his intense films. It was also the best comedy film during the decade. It also projected Mohan as a versatile actor, who was until then known for his 'singer' roles.

TV comedy actor Murali Manohar, apparently, wrote the dialogues but was not credited for it. "Gopi Kanna, Thappu" was a famous phrase from the film, frequently said by VKR. Nadia was offered the role of the singer. She pulled out of it and Radhika eventually did it.
