Goldman's water mouse (Rheomys raptor) is a species of rodent in the family Cricetidae.[2] It is found in Costa Rican and Panamanian cloud forest at altitudes from 1300 to 1600 m.[1] This mouse lives near fast-flowing streams and is semiaquatic; its carnivorous diet includes invertebrates.[1] The conservation status of the species is rated as "least concern" because of its sizable population and the presence of several protected areas within its range. However, deforestation and water pollution represent potential threats.[1]
