Robert Alexander (philanthropist)

Robert Alexander was a British philanthropist, born 1795, from Halifax, West Yorkshire.[1] He was a founding member of the Halifax Literary & Philosophical Society, and was made a fellow of the Royal Society in 1835. He died in 1843.
