Robert Walker also known as Rabo (born 16 June 1982, in Glasgow) is a Scottish footballer who played as a defence, for junior side Arthurlie amongst many other teams.

Dogged by a multitude of injuries throughout his career, Rabo hung up his boots in 2014.

Since his retirement from football, Rabo has spent most of his time going around "sorting" things. He regularly tries to organise trips away for the boys, and is considering investing his life savings in creating a travel agent company to rival Barrhead Travel. Rabotours is currently trying to organise a weekend away this autumn, however numbers, dates, location, travel and accommodation have all still to be decided.

Career

Rabo started his football career across the road from his house on the big grass and also up the red ash pitch. He refined his talents playing with, amongst others, Bowser, John 'Babs' Murray, Van der Motten and Dedo.

After successful spells with both the BB football team and Westpark he made the step up to the big leagues.

Walker started his senior career with South Lanarkshire club Hamilton Academical after signing from Glasgow junior side Maryhill, before playing one season for both Dumbarton and Stranraer.

After leaving the Stair Park side, Walker played at Cliftonhill with Albion Rovers for two seasons before going amateur with Queen's Park in 2009.

Walker was released by Queen's Park at the end of the 2009-10 season.[1]

After his release, Walker signed for Barrhead side Arthurlie.[2]
