Roger Carvalho is a Dutch actor best known for his role as Patrick in the TV film, Eddy & Coby.

Career

Carvalho received a Diploma in Dramatic Art from LAMDA in 2012.[1] He starred in a variety of Theatre productions in London, including Of Mice and Men[2] and Halcyon Days.[3]

In 2014 he made his television debut in Eddy & Coby, which was screened at the Netherlands Film Festival in 2014[4] and aired on Dutch National TV. He subsequently starred in a number of other film productions. Carvalho also starred in series 3 of the Dark Shadows audio drama.

In 2013 Carvalho launched a short film platform called Snoovies.[5] Snoovies is an app for smartphones and tablets that showcases a curated collection of short films and features interviews with up and coming actors and filmmakers. Snoovies received positive reviews[6] and won the Best Designed Mobile app by The Best Mobile App Awards in 2016.[7] Through Snoovies, Carvalho also helped organize the TriForce Short Film Festival at BAFTA in 2013 and 2014.[8]

Personal life

During a podcast interview for Dark Shadows, Carvalho indicated he was pursuing opportunities in Los Angeles, as he had the perception of the United States having better acting opportunities for ethnic minorities compared to the UK.[9]
