Roger Wehrbein (born August 18, 1938) is an American politician and a former member of the unicameral Nebraska Legislature.

Early life

Born in Lincoln, Nebraska, Wehrbein graduated from Plattsmouth High School and the Agriculture College of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.[1] He was in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1962 and was a U.S. Army Reserve company commander.

Political career

Wehrbein was elected to the legislature representing Nebraska's Legislative 2nd district centered in Plattsmouth, Nebraska in 1986, and reelected four times from 1990 to 2002. He sat on the Agriculture, General Affairs, Government, and the Military and Veterans Affairs Committees. He led the Appropriations Committee.[2]

Personal life

He was a commissioner for Cass County, Nebraska and the Nebraska Livestock Feeders Association president, and currently an elder in the Plattsmouth First Presbyterian Church.
