Roman Butenko (30 March 1980 – 30 November 2012) was an Ukrainian professional football midfielder who played for Metalist in the Ukrainian Premier League. Butenko began his career in Polissya Zhytomyr in the Ukrainian First League. On January 2008, Butenko moved to Metalist Reserves team and was promoted by Myron Markevych to the senior team in the beginning of the 2008-09 season.[1]
