Romeo (wolf)

Romeo was a black wolf living in the Mendenhall Valley, near Juneau AK, known for his interactions with dogs and people.

Summary

Romeo was an Alexander Archipelago Wolf (Canis lupus ligoni) who lived around Mendenhall Glacier between 2000 and 2009. He interacted more or less successfully with locals, tourists, cross-country skiers, and their dogs until he was about 8 years old when he was killed by out-of-state hunters.[1]
