Ronald Jacques Piché (May 22, 1935 – February 3, 2011) was a professional baseball player who pitched in the major leagues from 1960 to 1966. He played for the Milwaukee Braves, California Angels and St. Louis Cardinals.[1] Ron had one hit in his six-year MLB career, with a career .024 batting average. He had a total of 41 at bats in the major leagues. The one hit occurred on May 30, 1962. It was the first game of a doubleheader between the Milwaukee Braves and the Cincinnati Reds. Piche was having a very good season and he started this game and pitched a complete game victory lifting his record to 3 wins and 0 losses at that point of the season. He gave up 6 hits, 3 runs, walked 5 and struck out 4. In the fourth inning, Mack Jones and Joe Torre were on base when Piche got a single and drove in 2 runs. The pitcher for the Reds was Jim O'Toole. He gave up a home run to future Hall of Famer Frank Robinson, and had some notable teammates. Hall of Famers Henry Aaron and Eddie Mathews played that day for the Braves.

Piché was also a volunteer firefighter with the Montreal Auxiliary Firemen. He died of cancer on February 3, 2011, at age 75.[2][3]
