Roy Julen (born May, 1976) is an Dutch tap dancer, actor, and choreographer of Surinamese origin.

Career

Roy Julen has been the executive choreographer, creative producer, or judge on Holland’s and Belgium’s versions of the television shows So You Think You Can Dance,[1] The Voice, The Ultimate Dance Battle and Dance Date as well as the choreographer of the American musical Flashdance for Joop van den EndeTheatre productions.

Julen has choreographed live events, music videos, and television productions for well-known pop artists, including Diana Ross, Jason DeRulo, Taio Cruz, Pixie Lott, and Stromae.

Julian collaborated with director Jeffrey Elmont on a dance movie, Body Language. De Volkskrant wrote that the quality of the acting in the film was "fair to moderate", and the dance "convincing".[1] The film was awarded with a Dutch Golden Film Award and was shown in movie theaters in Holland as well as internationally in seven different countries.
