Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas
Syed Qasim Rasool Ilyas (S. Q. R. Ilyas) is among the top leaders of the Jamaat-e-Islami and ex-chief of banned Islamic organization, Students Islamic Movement of India(SIMI) in India.[1] He was also been the editor of the Urdu monthly magazine Afkar-e Milli for 28 years. He is a member of the national advisory committee (Shoora) of Jamaat-e Islami, working committee member of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), general secretary of the All India Muslim Majlis-e-Mushawarat. He is currently the national president of Welfare Party of India, a political arm of the Jamaat-e-Islami,[2][3] with office in Abul Fazl Enclave in southeast Delhi.[1]
