SAP NetWeaver Identity Management

SAP NetWeaver Identity Management[1] is the Identity Management software suite SAP SE acquired in 2007 from MaXware.

SAP NetWeaver Identity Management[2] software is a tool used to manage the full identity life cycle of users - from joining the organization, moving across positions inside the organization. It takes care for user access, provide user access according to current business roles, and manage passwords with self-service capabilities and approval workflows. Also when a user is leaving the organization it automatically deprovisions user access rights. Normally the life cycle changes come through integration with SAP Human Capital Management or SAP Success Factors.

SAP Identity Management integrates with SAP Access Control[3] to check for compliancy issues, risk analysis and risk mitigation connected with role assignments and possible segregation-of-duties conflicts.

The most current release of the software is now version 8.0, with Service Pack 3 having been released in August, 2016.
