Samoyao is a village on the island of Samar in The Philippines.
Sumayao is the place which were called from the past events in which construction workers and alike dances with the beauties of the latter atigbang, in Spanish Jazmines means girls, women etc. Girls came from Jazmines, the worker calls it because they somewhat are enchanted because when they go to that place "Jazmines" they could not locate the girls, women's places or houses.
