San Jose Jazz Festival

The San José Jazz Summer Fest (originally known as the San Jose Jazz Festival) is an annual music festival organized by non-profit San Jose Jazz, and held in downtown San Jose, California, USA. The festival was established in 1990,[1] and has grown to a 3-day weekend with jazz, Latin, salsa, R&B, blues, and various other music styles.

The festival began charging fees in 2006. The admission this year (2014) was $25 per day. Parking ranges from free to $7. They advertise over 80 performances on 11 stages normally. It is noted for excellent and diverse food stands. The main stage is in Plaza de Cesar Chavez with others nearby.

History

The inaugural edition in 1990 was a one-day event with one stage.[2]
