Sang-e-Mar Mar (Urdu: سنگِ مر مر‎) (previously titled Daasi) is a Pakistani romantic drama serial that is scheduled to air in 1 September 2016. It stars Sania Saeed, Mikaal Zulfiqar and more. It is fourth appearance of Noman Ijaz in Hum TV after 2013's serial Rehaai. It is 2nd appearance of Uzma Hassan along with Tipu Sharif after 2015's serial Mohabbat Aag Si. The entire production was shot in beautiful Swat District. Mainly shot in upper swat's beautiful village of Ronyal and in its outskirts.

Plot

Sang-e-Mar Mar depicts story of Pathans yet it is story of main head Gulistan Khan (Noman Ijaz) married to Shameem (Sania Saeed), and has 3 sons, namely Safiullah (Omair Rana), Aurang (Meekal Zulfiqar), Goher (Agha Mustafa Hassan) and a daughter, Bano (Uzma Hassan). Gulistar's father Baran Khan (Qazi Wajid) had recentely died of natural death. Gulistan Khan follows the strict pukhtoon traditions including the hatred for western clothing, which are considered a threat to Pakhtoon traditional values. (One day we shall hear how Kalahari Bushmen don't wear Jeans/western Clothing) Gulistan's youngest son Aurang Khan was sent to Peshawar university and therefore unlike his elder siblings he possesses a urban and liberal thought and his only emotional attatchment is with his mother for whom he often visits his village "Garhi Baran". Shireen, younger sister of Saif-ur-Rehnam who is a contractor lives with her elder brother and his out-spoken and annoying wife. Shireen friend Durkhani whose brother went to Dubai for earning and she was childhood neighbor of Shireen. Shireen was in teenage crush-love with Aurang since her childhood whose name she even don't know, but since both of the families lives in different villages and the hatred of Shireen's brother for Gulistan Khan makes it difficult for Shireen to think about Aurang. Gulistan Khan's daughter Sherbano was forcibly married to Turah Khan (her cousin) by her late grandfather. Sherbano is an abusive and careless wife who hate her husband and always bring complaints to her brothers which often results in family quarrels. Turah Khan is the nephew of Gulistan Khan and is hated by all the family memebers due to his maternal decentancy. His mother was Bengali and therefore he is also black (unlike typical pathans) (Pathans are an ethno-linguistic and therefore ones skin color is not an issue, this drama is propaganda). Torah's mother was beaten by Gulistan when she was dancing in saari (Once again providing more cannon fodder to those who would like to malign pathans) . Torah is however appearently is a nice husband and man but he conspires and schemes against Gulistan's family. Gulistan's second son Gauhar is a spoiled son who is a goon and a cruel person. Gauhar is a womanizer who found Durkhanay (Shireen's friend) as his prey. Gauhar wrote a love letter to Durkhanay who suddenly fell in love with him and told her secret to Shireen. Shireen warned Durkhanay that she'll be worsely traped but all went in vain. Unfortunately Shireen's sister-in-law thought that maybe Shireen is in affair with someone. Torah came to know about Goher's love affair and sent one of his spy after Goher (who was going on date). Goher met Durkhanay on a shore of a stream where he tried to trap Durkhanay but she however even didn't showed her veiled face. Goher asked Durkhanay to again meet him next week and gifted her with bangles and pranda (braid band).Torah's spy saw Goher and a veiled faced girl together and when Durkhanay left for her home Torah's spy started spying Durkhanay in order to search her home. Incidentally Durkhanay went to Shireen's home (typically known as Saif-ur-Rehman's home). Torah's spy confusing thought that Saif-ur-rehman's sister was the girl. He reported back to Torah. On the other hand Durkhanay showed Shireen bangles and pranda and asked her to keep the pranda for herself. Despite Shireen's urge Durkhanay tied the pranda in Shireen's braid. A local women dealing with all gynecological problems of ladies of village arrived at Shireen's home to see her pregnant sister-in-law. The woman named Gul used to sell the prandas as well recognized the pranda in Shireen's braid and told Shireen's sister-in-law that Gulistan Khan's son bought pranda from her some days ago for someone and that Shireen is in affair with him. Shireen's sister-in-law planned to tell this to her husband so that Shireen must be married soon. On the other hand Torah decided to tell Saif-ur-rehman about his sister's affair. On the next side Aurang planned to leave for Peshawar again and wholeheartedly met his mother and father and left. Luckily Shireen and Durkhanay come to know about the true identity of Goher (that he is Gulistan's son) and that he is going to cheat her. Both girls decided to return the gifts which (Goher has given) to him soon as Shireen's sister-in-law revealed that she knows about Shireen's affair to her. This time Shireen decided to go on behalf of Durkhanay to meet Goher and return the gifts but Durkhanay insisted and Shireen stayed at home and Durkhanay went. On the other side Torah's spy trickily informed Saif-ur-rehman about his sister's affair and in huge rage and fierce he left for killing Shireen and Goher. As soon as Shireen and her sister-in-law knew this Shireen confronted that Durkhanay was in affair with Goher that she was only protecting Durkhanay. But it was too late because Durkhanay returned the gifts to Goher and asked him that if he truly loves her so he must send his proposal to her home, this caused Goher anger and he started harassing Durkhanay. Soon Saif-ur-rehman arrived with his men and taking advantage of situation Durkhanay escaped and eventually Saif-ur-rehman caught Goher but not any girl with him (at this point Saif-ur-rehman still thinks that Shireen left) and Saif-ur-rehman in rage shot Goher to death. Durkhanay was left heartbroken and now only Shireen, Durkhanay and her sister-in-law are the ones who know that Shireen is innocent except Saif-ur-rehman who still thinks that his sister was the one with Goher.
