Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya

Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya (SKV) is a girls school in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh in India. It was established by the Rajmata of Gwalior State, Vijaya Raje Scindia. The first president of India, Dr Rajendra Prasad , in the presence of Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia, Maharani Vijaya Raje Scindia and Mrs Rajvanshi Devi Prasad, officially declared Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya open .The year was 1956. The school started on its journey with 31 students -out of which only six were boarders.[1]

Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia, Priyadarshini Raje Scindia, Yashodhara Raje Scindia and Shobhana Bhartia are among the board of governors of SKV.[2] The school is at 2nd position because of the hard work and corporation of students, faculty, administrative staff and board of governors.
