Scrobipalpa stangei is a moth in the Gelechiidae family. It was described by Hering in 1889. It is found in Great Britain, northern Germany, Denmark, southern Scandinavia, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Austria and Hungary.[1][2]
The larvae feed on Triglochin maritima and Triglochin palustris. They mine the leaves of their host plant in autumn. The mine has the form of a broad, transparant, full depth gallery. They overwinter in the rhizome, and bore in the rhizome or stem in spring. Pupation takes place outside of the mine.[4]
