Founded in St. Paul, Minnesota by Russell Dorr on August 6, 1880 Securian provides insurance, investment and retirement products and services to more than 16 million clients in the United States and Puerto Rico.[1]
In 2015, the company managed $64.4 billion in assets and had more than $1.15 trillion in insurance in force.[2]
Robert Senkler was the CEO from 1994-2014. Chris Hilger is the current CEO.[3]
