Sergio Fachelli

Sergio Fachelli (born March 28, 1952 in Montevideo, Uruguay) is a singer and songwriter, who had a successful career in the mid-1980s.

Biography

Sergio Fachelli was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, to parents of Italian heritage. At six years old he enters the music school Franz Liszt. At eleven he graduates in piano accordion. At sixteen he creates a rock group, "Trigo Verde" with the one that travels through Argentina, Chile, Peru and Ecuador.

Fachelli leaves the group to enroll himself as a bassist under singer Raphael's chorus. He later participated in the orchestras of Roberto Carlos, Armando Manzanero, Angela Carrasco, Trigo Limpio and Camilo Sesto.

With Camilo Sesto he begins to project himself as a composer and composes his first song, "Soñé".

Other songs include: " El único que te entiende" (The only one that understands), "Quiéreme tal como soy" (Love me as I am) and "Fuego" (Fire), which earn him 3 golden discs.

After creating hits with the help of singers José José with "Aléjate" (Get Away) and Lucia Méndez with "Ni una semana mas" (Not Another Week), Camilo Sesto proposes him to compose and produce for other artists. he also has 3 kids, Wendy, Gino, and Giovanna. Having those kids step by step he steps out of the music life and into the dad life.
