Seventh Woods (Born August 7, 1998) is an American College basketball player that plays for the University of North Carolina in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).

Early life

Woods was born on August 7, 1998 in Columbia, South Carolina. Woods is the youngest of four brothers and had started playing basketball when he was four years old[1]

High school career

Seventh Woods started playing varsity basketball when he was only 14 years old in 8th grade. As an 8th grader he averaged 14.6 points per game. As a freshman, Woods gained a starting position on the varsity team and along with it, he averaged 19.3 points per game. As a freshman, Woods also earned the Hammond basketball player of the year and aided his team to a 22-5 record and the SCISAClass AAA championship game.

His sophomore season he averaged 20 points per game, while also averaging 4 steals, 3.8 assists, and 3.6 rebounds. He earned the South Carolina boys basketball player of the year and was selected for the U16 USA National Team. His team went 5-0 and won the U16 Championship[2]

His junior season, Woods averaged 16.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 3.6 steals per game.[3]

His senior season, Woods only played 4 games due to a knee injury, but still averaged 15 points per game when he did play.

As of now, Woods is a 4 star recruit according to ESPN and is the #54 prospect in the nation and the #14 in the point guard position.

College Career

Freshman season

Woods began his freshman year in a Exhibition game against UNC Pembroke. He scored nine points to go along with seven assists.

Awards

Recruiting

Woods was heavily recruited by both North Carolina and South Carolina. Woods signed with North Carolina on November 11, 2015 and will play there in the 2016-2017 season.[5]
